Do not feel like this is the only question so far, this was just a opening comment and question, feel free to discuss the book, but do not discuss anything after the due date because it might spoil the book for people who actually want to read the full book without spoilers.
I liked the first chapter because it left a lot of unanswered questions: Why does Candy want a meeting? Why is everybody so devistated by this particular death? Which characters are black and which are white?
For some of the characters, telling which ones are black and which ones are white is hard...
I've only read the first 2 chapters so I'm going to go read some more now.... bye...
The death of the Caucasian Beau and him lying dead in an African American neighborhood is scary. The reaction to another Caucasians finding him would be to kill all the Negros. That’s why I think that it is smart to have Snookum run around and rally up big figures in their African American Neighborhood. Snookum did the right thing listening to Aunt Glo because the last thing he needs is to get involved in the situation.

I'm still trying to figure out who Fix is and what he's all about...
Fix is Beau's father and is very racist and uses violent behaviors against the blacks. He wants to have revenge against whoever killed his son.
